Welcome to Mrs. Root's Science Class
Where has the time gone? The six weeks has come to an end and grades have been posted. No one should be surprised be the grade they chose to receive. Because of excessive late and missing work and scrambling by students to find work, I thought it best to post a reminder of late work policy.
As per I-Nite.
You have 1 week from the due date to turn in missing work. If turned in within 1 week, you are able to receive 70% of your grade earned.
In addition to the I-Nite policy, I want to remind you that you are in charge of your grades. Grades are based on time and effort and you CAN control these two things. You choose your grade! Teachers do not randomly assign grades to students. If you want an A, you will put forth the time and effort. If you want an F, do nothing ...put forth no effort and you'll have no problem getting a F. I believe that all my students should strive for A's and B's and all of you are capable of achieving good grades. Teachers are here to help if you sincerely want help, but we will not do the work for you.
Respectfully,
Mrs. ME Root
P.S. All students have been given computer time (Oct 9-10) to research a science fair project idea. They should have brought home the science fair handbook and gotten parent signatures on them (due Oct 15-16).
